Unlike Any Other Bank
West Suburban Bank is local; a family business since 1962. Since ideas and profits alike are shared amongst employees, there is an essence of pride in calling yourself a West Suburban Bank employee. What makes us “Unlike Any Other Bank?” There are many answers to this question.
First, West Suburban Bank offers the type of corporate culture that many other banks can’t compete with. As an employer, we pride ourselves on providing a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that encourages professional growth and development and is dedicated to offering opportunities for internal career advancement. Many of our leaders have worked their way up through the ranks – a direct result of ongoing mentoring and career development that WSB offers. Although we value hard work and dedication in our employees, we also recognize the need for a healthy work/life balance. Our employees enjoy excellent benefits, paid time off, and flexible scheduling so that they can make their families a priority.
Our employees, from our tellers to our key decision makers, live in the communities we serve so we understand the needs of our communities and our customers. And, because decisions are made locally, not at some far removed corporate headquarters, we can react quickly when those needs change. This type of close-knit environment is what sets us apart from our competition in the eyes of our customers. We are able to provide one on one, personalized service to each and every person that walks through our doors.
Our investments also focus on the community. You won't find overseas investments or foreign market speculation on our balance sheet. Instead, you'll find the loans that have helped secure or improve the homes and businesses in the communities we serve. And because WSB values the local community so much, many West Suburban Bank employees are directly involved in community fundraising and volunteer efforts.
As businesses see their banking relationships become less personal and less responsive due to the increased pace of bank mergers and buyouts, many customers have been turning to community banks to recapture the level of service they once knew and still deserve. This makes West Suburban Bank one of the fastest-growing, profitable community banks in the West Suburbs of Chicago. Employees of WSB enjoy the success of the business through personal job satisfaction and competitive compensation and benefits, including an outstanding 401(k) Plan.
With the changing environment of the financial services industry, many are uneasy about the job market. But, while many other banks have been trimming staff and cutting back on personal service, West Suburban Bank has continuously been adding entry-level and experienced professionals to staff. As a rapidly growing community bank, West Suburban Bank has a variety of rewarding employment opportunities available.
